These sites attract attention for being the final resting place for many famous Chicago blues musicians, including Muddy Waters, and Willie Dixon, star athletes, and celebrities like Emmit Till.

The Calmut River forms the southwest border of the community for the most part. With Oak Lawn, Palos Heights, Midlothian, and Blue Island surrounding the remainder of the village, there is no shortage of activities and amenities nearby. In Alsip, you will find a number of local shops, cafes, and restaurants. Everything you need is available in the village, likely along S Cicero Avenue, which runs north-south through town. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in town, simply hop on the Tri-State Toll Hwy and connect with a neighboring community.
